How Do You Apply?

  1. You can apply for this service through the advertising company at https://rakdigital.rak.ae by using your UAE Pass and select “Advertisement Permit (Road Ads.)” to begin your application.

  2. Fill in the application form and upload all required documents.

  3. Once your application is reviewed and approved, you will receive a notification to proceed with the fee payment.

  4. Pay the applicable fee through one of the following methods: the website, the mRAK Smart App, or payment machines at Customer Happiness Centres.

  5. Once your payment is confirmed, the advertisement permit will be issued electronically.

How Much Will You Pay?

  • Inspection fee: AED 100

  • Unipole plate fee: AED 25,000 (government land) / AED 8,000 (private land)

  • Megacom plate fees: AED 7,000

  • For advertising board on the bridge: AED 10,000

  • For temporary plates: AED 500 per month

  • Insurance fee: AED 1,000


What Documents Do You Need?

1.

Official Letter : No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the landowner indicating the grace period if it is a private land.

2.

Trade License : A copy of the beneficiary's trade licence.

3.

Land Document (Sketch) : A copy of the plot plan if the land is private.

4.

Design clarifying the dimensions and measurements of the proposed signboard.

5.

A structural plan for the board, prepared by an approved engineering consultancy office, along with electrical connection details (required after initial proposal approval).

6.

Safety Undertaking from the Consultant/Contractor.

7.

Assignment Letter : Authorization from the beneficiary to the advertising company.

8.

No Objection Certificate (NOC) : from the Roads Department.

9.

Tenancy Contract : Required if the location is government-owned and the advertisement is affiliated with the investment.


What Terms and Limitations Apply?

Terms :

  • The advertising company must have a valid commercial license in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

  • It is permitted to use the English language along with the Arabic language.

  • The panels and fittings must be made of non-combustible materials.

  • Electrical transformers and connections must be protected against rainwater infiltration.

  • The advertisement must not obstruct road views or hinder traffic.

  • Infrastructure section approval and property department lease contracts are required for government-owned plots or private land.

Limitations

  • Renewal of the advertisement is required annually, or it must be removed within 15 days of license expiration.

  • You have to restore the  property to its original state if the advertisement is not renewed.

  • Approval from the relevant department must be obtained before installing any advertising material.

  • Regular maintenance of the advertisement sign must be ensured throughout the permit's validity.
