How Do You Apply?

  1. You can apply for this service online through https://rakdigital.rak.ae by using your UAE Pass and select “Advertisement Permit (Building)” to begin your application.

  2. Fill in the application form and upload all required documents.

  3. You can verify the Municipality’s response on the website.

  4. Pay the fee due through one of the following methods: the website, the mRAK Smart App, or payment machines at Customer Happiness Centres.

  5. Once verified, the certified permit will be issued electronically.

  • Combined sign fee: AED 2,000 per year

  • Individual office fee: AED 200 per year


What Documents Do You Need?

Official Letter : A letter from the building owner requesting a combined signage for the building.

Design clarifying the dimensions and measurements of the proposed signage.

Trade License : A copy of the beneficiary’s trade licence.

Structural plan from an approved engineering consultancy office and electrical connectivity (required after initial approval).

Undertaking from the consultant or contractor to ensure the safe installation of the board.

7.

Assignment Letter : Authorization from the beneficiary to the advertising company to install the signage.


What Terms and Limitations Apply?

Terms :

  • The advertising company must have a valid commercial license in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

  • It is permitted to use English alongside Arabic.

  • The panels and fittings must be made of non-combustible materials.

  • Transformers and electrical connections must be protected to prevent rainwater infiltration.

  • The advertisement must not obstruct road views or hinder traffic.

Limitations

  • Renewal of the advertisement is required annually, or it must be removed within 15 days of license expiration.

  • You have to restore the  property to its original state if the advertisement is not renewed.

  • Regular maintenance of the advertisement sign must be ensured throughout the permit's validity.
